MBA Degree Program
The MBA program is designed for working adults with at least two years of work experience who want to pursue a master's degree. Concentrations are available in Marketing and Human Resources. Career objectives of the program are to:
- Build on your undergraduate work by helping you enhance your knowledge and understanding of business functions through practice and application, providing you with professional development for careers in corporate management or administration in government agencies and non-profit organizations;
- Move beyond cognitive knowledge toward in depth analysis and practice in management and related disciplines;
Help students specialize in functional and operational areas of management by offering concentrations at the graduate and professional levels in marketing and human resources, providing students with additional skills and capabilities to become more marketable for middle and upper level positions.
Accelerated Program Format
The program is five semesters long with three courses taken each semester. The courses are taken serially and each three-credit hour course runs five consecutive weeks.
- You will begin with a small group of students called a cohort. The cohort progresses as a group through the program allowing for meaningful learning and partnerships to develop throughout the five semesters.
- Everyone in the group is a working adult who shares your need for practical information delivered on a schedule that works into a busy lifestyle.
- The schedule is designed to work around your job. The Saturday classroom sessions and one evening a week online will allow you to continue working while earning your degree.
- The compressed schedule allows you to study one course at a time, so you can focus all your energy on one course. Every five weeks a new course begins allowing the material to build on previous courses that your cohort has taken together.
