D'Youville College is authorized by the Board of Regents of the State of New York to award degrees and certificates for programs registered with the New York State Board of Regents. D'Youville College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104-2680, (267) 284-5000, fax (215) 662-5501, website: www.msche.org. The Commission on Higher Education is a regional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), April 2002.

Business and International Business

Chiropractic
The doctor of chiropractic degree program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic Education, 8049 North 85th Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85258-4321, phone: (480) 443-8877. The Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) is the agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education for accreditation of programs and institutions offering the doctor of chiropractic degree. CCE seeks to insure the quality of chiropractic education in the United States by means of accreditation, educational improvement and public information. CCE develops accreditation criteria to assess how effectively programs or institutions plan, implement and evaluate their mission and goals, program objectives, inputs, resources and outcomes of their chiropractic programs.
Dietetics
The Coordinated Program in Dietetics is currently granted continuing accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the American Dietetic Association, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, phone: (312) 899-0040 ext. 5400. The five-year dietetic program (three-year pre-professional and two year coordinated program) has been approved and registered by the New York State Education Department.
Education
D'Youville College's master degree programs in Adolescence Education, Childhood Education, and Special Education are accredited by Regents Accreditation of Teacher Education (RATE), New York State Education Department, 89 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12234, phone: (518) 474-1914, (specialized accrediting body for teacher education programs in New York State).

For Canadians: After you complete your graduate teacher education or post-baccalaureate teacher certification program, D’Youville College recommends to the appropriate body that you have met all requirements and are eligible to apply for the teaching certificate. The decision to issue a teaching certificate is made by the New York State Education Department or the Ontario College of Teachers.

The Ontario certification program is designed for Canadian citizens residing in Ontario who wish to teach in Ontario. Students who are not citizens of Canada or those who wish to teach in a province other than Ontario may not fulfill the necessary requirements. It is your responsibility to determine whether our program will prepare you for your goals. Nursing (Graduate and Undergraduate)
All programs offered by the Nursing department are registered by the New York State Education Department and fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036-1120.
Occupational Therapy
The occupational therapy degree program is fully approved and registered by the New York State Education Department. Physician Assistant

Physical Therapy
The doctor of physical therapy program has been approved and registered by the New York State Department of Education and was awarded its first professional accreditation on April 23, 1991 by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), 1111 North Fairfax Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314, phone: (703) 706-3245, e-mail: accreditation@apta.org, website: www.capteonline.org. Re-accreditation of the program was received in May 1997 and again in October 2005. The Program currently is in compliance with all CAPTE accreditation standards and is on the next 10-year cycle for re-accreditation review in 2015.
