Student Life
Extracurricular activities are an important part of college life and at D’Youville we want your academic experience to be safe, successful and fun. Several key services and programs will help you meet your goals and enjoy your time outside of the classroom.
Our intercollegiate program is a Division III member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, competing in the Eastern College Athletic Conference. A variety of recreational activities are available as well as a fitness center, swimming pool and game room.
Students can also join academic, cultural, and recreational clubs, serve on campus wide committees, contribute to student publications, attend special events, and take advantage of many volunteer opportunities.
As a new student, you will be invited to attend an orientation program for freshmen, families, transfers, certificate or graduate students. Here you'll learn about program requirements, course selection with an academic advisor, registration, and information seminars.

The D’Youville Freshman Experience (DFX) is designed to help make your first year exciting, fun and challenging. At orientation, you'll be assigned a college mentor and registered for the FOCUS Freshmen Seminar. There are also activities and leadership opportunities (D’Youville Leads) as well as a Peer Mentor Program coordinated through the Leadership Development Institute.
All new students and their families receive a copy of the New Student Handbook at orientation. It contains essential D’Youville College information and is used as a guide throughout the orientation session.

The Center is the hub of D’Youville College social, cultural and athletic life. College Center facilities can be reserved by members of the D’Youville College community including alumni, based on availability.
